Very different to a traditional piano lesson, at ISM we teach piano in combination with musicianship skills, ensuring children have all of the tools to become well-rounded musicians. Pianorama Primary is designed for the older beginner and is more rigorous than Pianorama Junior. Children enrolled in this course should have a strong personal desire to learn piano as regular practice is an absolute must. In Pianorama Primary, students progress through four books, with increasing difficulty. Each week we work through a range of repertoire, targeting different areas of piano playing: Finger Gyms, Solo's, Accompaniment Pieces and Ensemble Pieces. As well as re-inforcing our learning with relevant activities from our work book which include music theory, music appreciation and composition tasks.
